Marion Township is a participating member of the Howell Area Recreation Dept.

To obtain class schedules and information you may reach them at 546-0693 or 

stop in at 925 W. Grand River, Howell. To obtain information about the Senior 

Center you may call 545-0219. You may also obtain basic information on these 

programs via the internet @ howellrecreation.org.

The Library also offers a convenient pick-up service at Parker High School.  Materials 

can be requested on-line and can be picked up 24 hours a day in secured-access lockers at 

Parker High School.  There is also a book return drop box located at Parker High School

in the west wing parking lot, as well as another at the Howell Meijer store, near Customer 

Service. These are easy ways to pick up and return books!

                             West Nile Virus

Marion Township is participating in a program through Livingston County 

Health Dept. We will continue monitoring the Township to detect  the Virus. 

We have had positive specimens  at this time. We recommend that you use 

the following precautions : use DEET based products when going outside, 

wear long sleeved shirts and pants, and avoid free standing water. You may 

report any dead crows to the Township @  546-1588. If you would like any

A new hotline has been created to report potholes.  The hotline phone

number is 1-888-296-4546, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you have any questions regarding Homeland Security, you may get

This website gives information on creating kits for first aid, water & food 

supplies and general supplies you may want to have on hand. They also have 

information on creating a family plan in case of an emergency.  

      Region 2 South Medical Bio Defense Network

This is one of the organizations charged with the planning and coordinating 

of the health care response to disasters that may affect Michigan's southeast

      Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency 

is introducing a new service called Help Now. The new information 

and referral call center for Livingston County health, human and 

community service needs. Their phone number is 517-548-0211.

                    Cable Problems?

You may call the Township during regular business hours to leave your name and 

the nature of your problem. You may also e-mail the DPW department at the 

Township. The e-mail address is mariondpw@ameritech.net We will forward 

a list of resident's names to the Cable company of anyone who may have 

experienced service problems. We will also be retaining the list for future 

reference.
